I believe that physical and emotional health are closely connected, and that the best care considers the whole person. As a behavioral health provider in a medical setting, I collaborate with patients and the care team to support patients’ overall well-being. I work with individuals facing a wide range of concerns, such as sleep problems, stress, sexual functioning difficulties, mood problems, physical health goals, anxiety, and grief, to name just a few.
When I meet with patients, my goal is to help them feel understood, safe, and respected. I focus on what matters most to them and use practical, evidence-based approaches to support personal growth and progress toward their goals. Patients appreciate that I’m genuine, that I take a flexible and creative approach to their unique needs, and that I offer tools they can start using right away.
I love libraries! These days, most of my “reading” comes through my local library’s audiobook collection, but just being in a library still makes me feel calm and happy. Now that I have two kids, one of my favorite things is going to the library to check out a mountain of picture books to read aloud together. Naturally, I do my best to give every character their own voice – with mixed results!
